Am 77. Have a 24ft hunting trailer. Elk and mulies in western states, need a younger partner-will train. Can go 2 to 3 times a year. The journey is best. like Harrahs in NV. I an limited to road hunting, like area one in AZ. Have hunted for 60 years. Live East of Sacramento one hour in hills.

In short, I would describe myself as a competent outdoorsman. My personality is pretty easy going and I'm open to different hunting suggestions (locations and strategies). I have my own camping/hunting equipment and a 4wd truck. I am willing to drive and split the cost of gas. Deer/Bear: My group that got me started in hunting split up to different zones after we did not get the zone we applied for. I have deer tags to D7 and D8 and a bear tag. Last year we unsuccessfully hunted D9. I am active and I'm planning on day hiking into D7, away from the opening weekend crowds (5-10+ miles) into areas with no road access. I am willing to plan an overnight hike if I find a hunting buddy to come along. Upland Game/Duck: I have done day trips and weekend camping trips and have been pretty successful at finding quail.

I have been hunting big game in the west all my life. I have a garage full of antlered memories and many published articles to show for it. My life long hunting buddies are losing interest or have health concerns that are keeping them from participating anymore. I have backpacked the PCT, JMT and summited a few of the higher mountains in the world. I am a certified farrier, packer and master gunner champion from my younger years.

Using a service like Huntingbuddyfinder is out of my comfort zone, but hopefully something good will come from it. I am open to mentoring motivated younger hunters.
